Bus operators in Pokhara have added more buses in view of the Dashain-time passenger rush.As many as 15 tourist buses were in operation along the Pokhara-Kathmandu route from one destination. The number has now been increased to 25.Similarly, Prithvi Highway Bus Operators’ Committee has also decided to double the number of buses for long routes. “We are ready to add more vehicles if the flow of passengers continue to grow,” an office bearer of the committee said.
The decision was taken as the number of passengers exiting Kathmandu increased due to Dashain, according to bus operators. “There were fewer passengers until a few days ago. But now the flow has increased,” said Hari Adhikari, coordinator of Western Region Bus Sub-committee at Nepal Association of Tours and Travels Agents.
