Couple sentenced to life in jail

The District Court – Jajarkot has sentenced a couple to life in jail with appropriation of all properties for a situation including a murder encouraged by property debate.

A seat drove by Justice, Lila Raj Adhikari, on Sunday implicated, Buddhi Bahadur Khatri, and his significant other, Sharmila Bali Khatri, for killing previous' mom, Deumi Khatri, of Lekham zone of Sakla – 1.

Both the couple had been squeezing Deumi Khatri to exchange the responsibility for land property which was being set up for use for development of the Nalsinghgadh Hydro Power Project. They murdered her after she declined to exchange the possession without the assent of her grandchildren from her eldest child.

Amid the trial, Budhi Bahadur admitted to slaughtering his mom under weight from his significant other, who had been debilitating to bounce off a bluff on the off chance that he neglected to get the responsibility for land or execute his mom.

They had covered the body at a field close to their home in the wake of carrying out the wrongdoing by hacking the casualty's head with a hatchet while she was snoozing. They had arranged the graveyard a day prior carrying out the wrongdoing. They even planted yields over the entombment place to disperse doubt from others.

They had covered the body on August 6 and the precise following day Buddhi Bahadur ringed a false alert in the town that his mom had disappeared. The couple then documented an application with the police to discover his mom. Police captured the couple three weeks after the episode.

Buddhi Bahadur has been detained at the Jajarkot jail while Sharmila with her more than two year old child has been sent to Bardiya jail, District Police Office, Jajarkot, Acting Chief, Hikmat Bahadur Bohara, shared.
