Mahesh Bhatt is a renowned film director, producer and screenwriter. He belongs to Gujarati descent. He married Kiran(his first wife) with whom he fell in love as a student. Actress turned director Pooja Bhatt and Brother Rahul Bhatt were born to Kiran and Mahesh Bhatt.

Mr. Bhatt later fell in love with actress Soni Razdan and married her. He has two kids with her - Alia Bhatt and Shaheen Bhatt.

He has directed films like Saaransh, Abhimanyu, Aashiqui, Daddy, Dil Hai Ke MaantaNahin, Hum Hai Raahi Pyaar Ke, Gunaah, Papa Kehte Hai, Duplicate, Yeh Hai Mumbai Meri Jaanetc. Apart from directing, Mahesh ji also produced many films like Papa Kehte Hai, Raaz, Saaya, Footpath, Murder, Kalyug, Gangster, Woh Lamhe, Raaz - the mystery continues, Tum Mile and Raaz 3D. Additionally worked as being a screenwriter for movies like Sangharsh, Kasoor, Raaz, Gunaah, Jism, Rog, Zeher, Gangster, Woh Lamhe, Jism 2, Murder 2 and Murder 3, to mention a few.

The youngest and newest entrant from the Bhatt camp,Alia Bhatt,might have won many - a-hearts with her debut in Karan Johar’s film Student of the age but this time, she would like her father to direct her from a film. Shed like to assist her home company, Vishesh Films.
